Elementary – Grades 2-5

Elementary Faith Formation, for children in grades two through five who attend public school, is held on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Our curriculum develops, in an age-appropriate manner, the basic teachings of our Catholic faith. It is correlated to the four pillars of faith presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church: our creed, our worship, our moral teaching, and our life of prayer. Topics include the Holy Trinity, the sacraments (especially Baptism, Eucharist, and Reconciliation), the Mass, the Church, and the Bible. Classes begin in September and run through May.

Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist

Families with children in Grade 2 (or older) may sign up for our Preparation program for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Parents and students meet together on Wednesday evenings (6:30 to 8:00pm), and together they deepen their understanding of the sacraments and prepare together to receive them.

Preparation for Reconciliation takes place in fall, with the celebration of Reconciliation scheduled in early December.  Preparation for Eucharist begins after the first of the year, and the celebration of First Eucharist is scheduled early in the Easter Season.

Our Sacramental Preparation Program use the GROWING UP CATHOLIC curriculum.
